Narrabri’s Shaun Thomson will host a fundraising auction on his Facebook page on Thursday night, September 10, to raise money for research into motor neurone disease.

Bidders will be competing for a replica ‘Mad Max’ vehicle, above.

“The appeal is to raise money for Motor Neurone Australia,” said Shaun.

“It’s an online live auction – we will auction the car off. Every cent the auction raises will go to research into motor neurone disease.

“The auction will start at 6pm Thursday night on my Facebook page.”

Shaun’s mother Trudy Thomson passed away from motor neurone disease last year on December 1 and Shaun held a ‘head shave’ fundraiser in September 1 that year which raised $5500 for Motor Neurone Australia.

“I wanted to do a fundraiser again this year, and in future, plan to stage a fundraiser every year on September 1,” Shaun said.

“Every cent will go to Motor Neurone Australia.”
