The opportunities will be across a range of industries with construction and earthmoving growing along with the ongoing demands of agriculture, the district’s core industry.
The greatly improved seasonal prospects alongside the coming major projects, Inland Rail, the Narrabri Gas Project and the Northern Inland Port plus several solar power proposals in the planning stage will mean a growing need for trained personnel.
WTC Earthmoving held a very successful open day on Saturday to promote job opportunities in the industry.
Managing director William Childs said WTC was talking to a number of young people interested in taking up the opportunities offered by WTC.
