History teacher at Narrabri High School, Georgia Mazurkiewicz, has already raised more than $1000 as a Stars of Narrabri contestant.
With the help of local dance teacher, Lauren Grant, Ms Mazurkiewicz and her partner Paige Hetherington are ready to show off their dancing skills.
Her kitten Elvis is a clear indicator of Ms Mazurkiewicz’s love of music and dance, so it makes sense that her dance style is a fun mix of swing and rock ‘n’ roll “with a modern twist”.
After growing up in Sydney, she saw Stars of Narrabri as a great chance to immerse herself in the local community.
“It’s my second year in Narrabri so I’d love to get more involved,” Ms Mazurkiewicz said.
“I also love that Stars of Narrabri raises money for a great cause.”
Having felt the effects of cancer personally, with multiple family members passing away from the illness, the Cancer Council is an organisation close to her heart.
