Mums everywhere were celebrated by families on Sunday, and mother-figures from the Narrabri Shire were no exception.

The Narrabri RSL Club, Crossroads Hotel, Tourist Hotel and Tatts Hotel are some of the local venues which hosted celebratory lunches and dinners on Mother’s Day.

The RSL offered a buffet carvery with mustard crust beef, roast pork and lamb, potato bake, mixed vegetables, fresh prawns, honey barbecue chicken wings, maple barbecue ribs, chips, wedges,

roast potato and pumpkin, Caesar salad, pesto pasta salad, bread rolls, spring rolls and lemon pepper barramundi.

The venue’s dessert menu featured mini chocolate messes, white chocolate crème brûlée tarts, fresh scones with jam and cream, sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and fruit salad.

Crossroads’ menu had three mains to pick from, including roasted paprika pumpkin soup, Atlantic grilled salmon and twice cooked dukkah chicken Maryland.

Black forest cake and gateau tiramisu were on offer for dessert and the hotel also provided guests with a free bottle of white or red, per table, from the Yarran Wines range.

Kodey Stanford played live music for dinner, between 6pm and 9pm.

The Tourist was booked out for their Sunday roast lunch but welcomed walk-ins for dinner.

They offered all mums a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the occasion.

And Tatts Hotel featured a special Mother’s Day menu, which included chicken wrapped in prosciutto with salad, grilled salmon with café dé Paris butter and vegetables, three cheese gnocchi and lamb rump with Greek salad.

For dessert, chocolate cherry panna cotta and apple crumble with ice cream were on offer.

A number of local mums and their families frequented the venues for lunch and dinner, as seen in these photos.
