After the 2020 awards were cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic, Narrabri Rotary’s Pride of Workmanship is back again.

The theme is “do it once – do it well”, which aims to identify outstanding workers within the Narrabri Shire.

The selection criteria includes; a consistently high level of work over the past 12 months, surpassing expectations (in terms of both quality of work and the level of output) and an ongoing commitment to learning.

Nominations are now open, and the Narrabri Rotary Club is inviting the community to enter employees they think are worthy of recognition.

It’s a great opportunity for employers to give credit to hard workers, or for team members to recognise their colleague’s efforts.

The Pride of Workmanship title goes beyond the everyday operations of a business and extends into the surrounding community.

It also aims to encourage a sense of local pride in the individual achievements of workers.

The top nominees will be narrowed down to a few select finalists, with the winner announced at the Narrabri Rotary Club’s annual changeover event on Saturday, July 10.

Nominations close at 5pm on Friday, June 5 and paper forms can be picked up from The Courier, Nutrien Harcourts, Weel Australia, Narrabri Ag Supplies, Tapscotts Service Station (Shell) and MJs Newsagency.

Completed nomination forms can be returned to The Courier office on Maitland Street.

The criteria needed to complete the nomination form include the nominee’s full name, age, address, organisation, position and contact details.

It also asks for the contact details of the nominee’s employer, and why you consider them to be worthy of the award.
