On the evening of Tuesday, July 20, new venues of concern in Goulburn and Orange were announced by NSW Health.

This was soon followed by new stay-at-home orders for Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council.

The lockdown comes as a result of the COVID-positive Sydney removalists travelling through regional NSW.

The updated health advice, from chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant, applies to all people living in these areas, as well as anyone who has visited on or after Saturday, July 17.

Residents may only leave their home for essential purposes including grocery shopping, medical care or compassionate needs, exercise, work/study that can’t be done from home, weddings and funerals.

All schools in the three LGAs will now operate under level three restrictions, as approved by NSW Health.

The NSW government say it is vital that people continue to come forward for testing to help find any COVID-19 cases in the community.
