While the wait to enter Narrabri’s mass COVID-19 vaccination centre was long, patience was shown by the hundreds of people who lined up each day on Sunday and Monday to receive doses of Pfizer.

On Sunday, at one point the queue went as far back as the bridge.

Some people came prepared with deck chairs in tow, ready for the wait to get immunised.

Although once they reached the inside foyer of The Crossing Theatre, the end was in sight.

“We have to do this for our community,” one vaccination clinic attendee said.

“This is the only way our lives can get back to some sort of normal,” another said.

Many clinic-goers who spoke with The Courier as they waited to roll up their sleeves agreed that there was an urgent need to be immunised against COVID-19.

“We all just have to do it (get vaccinated),” an attendee said.
