For the first time in five weeks, competition golf returned to the Narrabri Golf Club on Saturday.

The club’s pre-lockdown weekly events will resume from tomorrow with a ladies’ stableford as well as veterans’ nine-hole competition, followed by social golf on Thursday.

A stableford medley event was contested on Saturday which was won by Andrew Smart.

A full list of results from the day’s play are as follows:
A-grade winner – Andrew Smart with 38 points, A-grade runner-up – Lee Watson with 37 points (countback), A-grade third – Wade Foster with 37 points, B-grade winner – Paul Thomas with 39 points, B-grade runner-up – Josh Seymour with 37 points, B-grade third – Bruce Pyke with 35 points, C-grade winner – Christine Southwell with 44 points, C-grade runner-up – Myra Joseph with 39 points, C-grade third – Peggy Penberthy with 37 points, nearest to pin fifth – Kate Pitman, nearest to pin eighth – Wade Foster, nearest to pin 12th – Rob Mackenzie, nearest to pin 16th – Josh Seymour.

Results from the stableford event played on Sunday are as follows:
Winner – Brendan Kramel with 39 points, runner-up – Terry Joseph with 37 points (countback).

Single stableford events will be held on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. There will be no social golf until 2.30pm on Saturday. Narrabri Golf Club advised that all golfers must phone ahead for all competition and social golf to book a tee time.
