Narrabri Touch hosted the 11th round of its mixed competition on Monday night following a three-week break.
The teams were given two nights off on April 18 and 25, for Easter Monday and Anzac Day, respectively, and all 14 of them took the field this week as the season resumed.
A blockbuster top-of-the-table clash headlined the round of touch footy as dominant duo Agies and Tradies and Ladies went head-to-head.
Agies went into the round with 10 wins from as many rounds, while its opposition had dropped one game all season.
Tradies and Ladies would have leapfrogged Agies into first place on the ladder with a win, however, Agies got the job done with a 9-3 victory to create a two-game lead at the top.
Tradies and Ladies fell to third on the 14-team ladder as a result of that loss. They were overtaken by Sprayerbarn Spinouts, which outscored Narrabri RSL Guys and Gals 8-1 in round 11.
Sprayerbarn Spinouts and Tradies and Ladies have both accumulated 29 points, on the back of nine wins and two losses, as has fourth-placed Hammer Time.
Hammer Time scored its ninth win of the campaign in round 11 when it downed Cougars 8-3.
A win behind that trio in fifth place are the Tapscott Pumpers following their nail-biting 6-5 victory against Who’s Shout on Monday.
The teams ranked sixth and seventh, TRTW and Win Or Booze, met in the 11th round of the season and played out a 2-all draw.
Lumberjacks (and Jills) remained in eighth spot after outscoring Witty Wizards 12-3.
In the seventh and final match of the evening, Hounddogs scored their third win of the season and jumped up the ladder from 12th to 10th.
This Monday, May 9, will see the second last round games of the season played. The teams will then be graded for the finals series.
Grand final night will be hosted on Friday, June 17, at the Dangar Park rugby union grounds.
