A 23-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a string of alleged home break-ins and attempted break-ins.
The man was initially captured on CCTV footage allegedly attempting to enter a Grace Street address at 11.20am on July 29.
He was charged with attempted break-and-enter and armed with intent following this incident.
On August 4, the man allegedly broke into a number of homes across Narrabri.
At two addresses in Kate Street, he allegedly broke into the homes and stole items. Police then allege he broke into a home at Walowa Street and also stole items from this property.
The man was arrested on August 6, and a number of the stolen items were recovered.
He was charged with three counts of break-and-enter and steal, and one count of goods in custody, in relation to the incidents at Kate Street and Walowa Street.
Bail was initially refused.
Drive while suspended
A 32-year-old woman was issued with a court attendance notice for driving while suspended.
Police stopped the woman on Dangar Street at 11.20pm on August 8 for the purpose of a random breath test.
A check by police found the woman was driving while her licence was suspended.
She will appear in court later this month.
In a separate incident, a 36-year-old woman was issued a court attendance notice for driving while suspended at 12.30am on August 8.
The woman was stopped by police on Fitzroy Street.
Unregistered driver stopped
A 24-year-old woman was stopped on Dangar Street at 11.55pm on August 7 for driving an unregistered motor vehicle. She was issued with two infringement notices, one for driving unregistered and the other for driving uninsured.
Drink driver fined
A 29-year-old woman was stopped on Rose Street, Wee Waa, for the purpose of a random breath test at 11.15pm on August 5.
She returned a positive reading and was taken to Wee Waa Police Station.
She was issued with an infringement notice and her licence was suspended for six months.
Alleged drug driver stopped
A 40-year-old man was stopped on Purcell Drive at 12.55pm on August 1 for the purpose of a random breath and drug test.
Police allege the man returned a positive drug reading.
He was conveyed to Narrabri Police Station for secondary testing.
Police are awaiting further analysis of testing.
Man located with small amount of cannabis
A 58-year-old man was stopped on Tibbereena Street at 1.30am on August 1 for a random breath test.
After conducting checks, police had cause to search the man’s vehicle.
A small amount of cannabis was located.
The man was issued with a cannabis caution.
High range drink driver
A 33-year-old man was stopped on Cooma Road at 12am on July 31.
After returning a positive result, he was conveyed to Narrabri Police Station.
Police allege the man returned a high range reading of .154.
Drink driver fined
A 21-year-old woman was stopped by police on Campbell Street for a random breath test at 10pm on July 29.
The woman returned a low range reading and was issued with an infringement notice.
Alleged drug driver stopped
A 33-year-old man was stopped on Barwan Street at 10pm on July 29 for a random breath and drug test.
Police allege the man returned a positive drug reading.
He was conveyed to Narrabri Police Station for secondary testing.
Police are awaiting further analysis of testing.
Mid range drink driver stopped
A 28-year-old man was stopped on Dangar Street at 11pm on July 30 for a random breath test.
The man returned a positive reading and was conveyed to Narrabri Police Station.
Police allege the man returned a reading of .106.
He was issued with a court attendance notice.
Investigation for high speed ATV incident in Wee Waa
Police are conducting an investigation into a high speed all-terrain vehicle incident that occurred in Wee Waa on August 8.
At 12pm, police received information that a stolen ATV was being driven along the Wee Waa levee.
The vehicle was sighted by police on the nature strip.
Police allege the vehicle was then driven dangerously at speed down Alma Street and was subsequently driven in a dangerous manner around the township.
It was then driven from Gabo Place to Mitchell Street where the driver lost control of the vehicle and was injured.
Police arrived at the scene, and members of the public assisted to locate the male in a nearby residence.
He was conveyed to Narrabri Hospital.
Further investigations into the matter are continuing.
