A series of magnificent photos reflecting the Burren Junction community will make up the pages of a 2023 calendar.
Created to raise funds for the Burren Junction Public School P and C and the Burren Junction Progress Association, the stars of the calendar’s pages include every student from the town’s school photographed at iconic Burren locations – from the silos to shearing sheds and even with a spectacularly restored John Deere tractor.
Vice-president of the BJPS P and C Janine Powell and her fellow committee members worked alongside talented local photographer John Burgess to bring the creative calendar project to life.
Hopefully, it will see a snapshot of Burren hanging up in kitchens and offices around the country – the perfect gift for anyone with a North West connection, a love of country scenes or a keen organiser and date planner.
The calendar will be launched alongside a stunning art exhibition to be held at Burren’s beautifully restored School of Arts Hall on Friday night, September 16, with people invited to come along and enjoy drinks, food, and music to celebrate the occasion and support a good cause.
The calendar, created to raise funds for Burren Junction Public School P and C and the Burren Junction Progress Association, will also be available at the Wee Waa newsagency, Agies Rural and Relish pantry.
Vice-president of the BJPS P and C Janine Powell thanked sponsors for their generosity and support.
