Narrabri Touch’s men’s and ladies’ 2022 competitions have relocated to Cooma Oval for the rest of the season after daylight saving time began on Sunday, October 2.

The 10th round of the campaign was then contested on Monday as teams returned to the field following two washed out weeks.

Only five of the 10 scheduled games went ahead after three teams forfeited their respective fixtures.

Ladies’ competition heavyweights Agies Ladies were at their brilliant best as they continued a sensational undefeated streak and remained on top of the table with a 14-2 victory against fifth-placed CBRE.

The win was their seventh in as many matches so far this season and their 49th on the trot dating back to 2018.

Hot on the heels of Agies Ladies are the SPA Redbacks, which scored a forfeit victory against Specialised Quarries and Concrete in round 10.

Those two sides entered the round on five wins and a loss each and with second spot on the line, and it was Redbacks that remained a win behind the ladder leaders.

Last-placed side Touch’n’Go scored its first win of the campaign in round 10 when it edged out the sixth-placed Blue Birds 4-3.

The other ladies contest was also separated by just one point as Wilga Westies downed Hounddogs 3-2. That win saw Wilga Westies move from fifth place on the ladder up into fourth, while Hounddogs remained in seventh spot.

Just as Agies Ladies did in round 10, the men’s competition ladder leaders Grumley Builders also extended their 2022 undefeated streak to seven wins from as many games when they beat the ninth-placed Ballbusters 10-4.

Grumley Builders remained two wins clear at the top of the ladder as a result of that victory.

Climbing from third into second spot was Win Or Booze, which also prevailed in round 10. Win Or Booze took on Cougars and outscored the seventh-placed side 7-4.

The other men’s matches that were scheduled for round 10 did not go ahead after Wilga Pelicans forfeited against the DTA Treated Lumberjacks and the Gee Bangers forfeited against Lations.

Gee Bangers slipped from second to third following that forfeit loss, while Lations, Wilga Pelicans and the DTA Treated Lumberjacks are still ranked fourth to sixth, respectively.

Bottom-ranked side NFC had the bye in round 10.
