Hugo Warnock is working on his entrepreneurial skills at a young age, holding a lemonade stand outside his grandparents’ Gun Club Road property on Saturday morning.
Hugo, the son of Adam and Rachel Warnock, of Lane Cove, has been staying with his grandparents, Ross and Margaret Gleeson, during the school holidays.
He was determined to hold a lemonade stand and, with the help of his ‘ma’, Margaret, turned a batch of lemons into refreshing lemonade.
Hugo squeezed the lemons on Friday night, while Margaret made the sugar syrup.
By Saturday, he was serving up refreshments to customers in the hope of making some pocket money from the venture.
“He was very intent,” Margaret said of holding the stall.
The refreshment proved a welcome summer treat and Hugo had sold out of lemonade by lunchtime.
