The Narrabri Art & Craft Society Inc. is featuring a special open day on Saturday, March 18 in conjunction with CREATE, showcasing the Art Society’s complex and launching its 2023 program.
Staged on the regular Verandah Saturday date, which is held mid-month throughout the year, the exhibition will kick off an exciting new season of activities and events.
To complement the 16-day 2023 CREATE festival, the shop has been decorated with the theme flight in mind and will have the usual homemade sweets and treats for sale on the verandah.
The art gallery will feature a ‘Flights of Fancy’ exhibition with the innovative imagination of Narrabri Art & Craft Society members in full swing for open day.
Local artist Deb Michell-Smith will be situated in the arts studio conducting a collage workshop tutorial. Tickets for this workshop are now sold out.
Janice Smith will be decorating a special occasion cake depicting the Flight of Fancy theme.
The cake will be raffled during the showing of the exhibition and beautiful locally made handcrafted cards will be on sale.
All artworks will be for sale and a $200 Betty Berriman prize winner will be announced at the official opening at 1.30 pm.
The Art Society will be providing light refreshments for visitors and are hoping to see familiar and new faces throughout the day. All are welcome to attend.
