A beautiful garden soirée was the setting for the recent wedding of Thomas Lynch, formerly of Edgeroi, and Eliza O’Neill of Wee Waa on March 3, 2023.

Eliza is the daughter of John and Cindy O’Neill of Wee Waa, and Thomas is the son of John and the late Sandra Lynch of Alstonville, formerly of Edgeroi.

One hundred and thirty guests attended the celebrations in the picturesque garden at the home of John and Cindy O’Neill.

Preparations for the happy event were a family affair with a myriad of helpers chipping in to create the perfect setting.

The wedding was officiated by the bride’s brother, Jacob O’Neill.

The bride was attended by maid of honour Whitney O’Neill and bridesmaids Phoebe O’Neill, Phoebe Wilson, Laine Bennett and Ellie Hatton.

The groom’s attendants were best man Nick Wappett and groomsmen Jono Cuell, Fraser McClanachan, Tom Patterson and Mark Campbell.

The bride wore a Hera Couture gown and veil, comprising of a white silk drill satin corset with exposed boning, covered buttons and a multi-layered tulle skirt with train.

The veil was a chapel length veil scattered with sewn flowers and petals cascading to the ground.

Soft pink strapless midi dresses featuring a large bow at the back were worn by the maid of honour and bridesmaids with each bridesmaid carrying a bouquet of a different single variety flowers en masse consisting of hydrangeas, friesias, and roses.

The groom and groomsmen wore black tie.

Speeches were made by groomsman Jono Cuell, sister of the bride Whitney O’Neill, bridesmaid Ellie Hatton and parents of the bride and groom.

A magnificent wedding cake made by local cake maker Robyn Pattison was a three-tier white chocolate mud cake with raspberries and vanilla cream layered with ganache.

It was finished off with buttercream and adorned with handmade fondant flowers.

The cake was complemented with special gifts of personalised cookies.

The couple spent their honeymoon at Bannisters at Mollymook and have made their home on their farm at Coleambally, NSW.

Thomas and Eliza first met through Eliza’s brother Jacob who lived with Thomas in Brisbane.

It was 2012, and the pair were both attending university.

Shortly afterwards, Thomas moved back to Narrabri for work and Eliza stayed in Brisbane, however, the couple never lost contact.

Once a week Thomas would travel back to Brisbane to study at university and the romance continued, culminating in the celebrations with friends and family on their beautiful wedding day.
