Every year, Burren Junction’s CWA Flower Show and Market Day seems to flourish, attracting locals and visitors to the town’s magnificent school of arts hall for the popular event.
“It brings the community together and displays the talents of the locals – from flowers to photographs,” said CWA secretary Margaret Constable.
“It’s also a great way for community members to showcase their wares and for the community to buy locally.
“The biggest highlight was seeing so many people from Burren attend and enjoy the day, that really was a highlight for CWA members.
“Also, we had permission to close the road off, in front of the hall, so that gave children safe access to the playground, and we were also able to utilise that space.
“We’ve had nothing but positive feedback, it’s been great.”
“We would like to thank our sponsors, helpers, judges, stallholders and most importantly everyone who came,” added CWA member Sonya Marshall.
“We were amazed at the number of flower entries due to the weather.”
The 2023 flower show and market day was held on September 24 and included competitions for both children and adults as well as a delicious morning tea and lunch options, a beautiful variety of stalls and face painting.
