Boggabri’s Business Chamber ‘Show n Shine’ committee has excelled once again in how to ‘Show N Shine’ everything from trucks, cars, motor bikes and tractors.

As the sun rose over the horizon the committee, volunteers and owners were setting up.

Putting the final touch on their stalls, firing up the barbecue and giving the vehicles one last polish.

It was hard to gauge how many people passed through the event as people were coming and going from official opening time 9am to when competitors headed home.

There were 89 car exhibits on show which was more than the 72 in 2023.

The committee appreciated the owners bringing their loved and treasured vehicles to Boggabri.

The community was also showcased with 24 market stalls, four food stalls, and volunteer groups such as the SES and NSW Fire and Rescue coming together for the day.

Along with the many and varied market stalls there was a jumping castle, colouring in competition and old fashioned games for the children.

Winners came from far and wide with Ben and Karen Lindsay from Comboyne being awarded the prize for the furthest travelled exhibit.

People’s choice awards were given to best truck, EHR Haulage from Boggabri.

Best motorbike winner was Wayne Bowkett from Boggabri with his 2009 Suzuki Boulavard.

Best hot rod winner was Kevin Louis from Gunnedah with his 1973 Chev Roadster Pick Up.

Best streetcar went to Angela Porter from Tamworth who is a part of the Tamworth Ford Owners Group with her 1971 Ford XY Fairmont.

Best tractor went to the Boggabri Tractor Shed.

Overall winner on the day went to Lesley Anderson from Narrabri with a 1964 Ford XM.

Lesley is also a member of the Drifters Club.
