What an amazing array of speech and drama performances we were entertained by over the three days from May 28-30.

Adjudicator, Anita Elderidge, a Speech, Drama and Communications teacher for more than 30 years from the Gold Coast, was delighted by the performances, commenting that the ‘talent was equal to anything else she has seen and that the next generation is in wonderful hands.

Her positive and encouraging adjudication comments were very much appreciated by the children, teachers and parents.

The children delivered set poems, humorous poems and Australian poems.

There were group speeches, monologues, duologues, mimes and drama, public speaking, own composition, sight reading and Bible reading.

The children were as young as five, through to 16 year olds and an adult performer as well.

There were entries from many schools, which include Narrabri West Public, St Francis Xavier’s, Narrabri Public, Narrabri High, Bellata, Burren Junction, Pilliga, Rowena, Fairfax, St Philomena, Moree, Moree Public, Namoi Valley Christian, St Joseph’s Wee Waa and St Joseph’s Walgett.

There were entries from Home Schools, Xavier Drama, Moree and individual entries too.

It made for an exciting and entertaining program.

All participants should be proud of their preparation and efforts. Congratulations to you all.

After all, you are our communicators of tomorrow.
