A new period of growth beckons for Your Photos Framed which was recently awarded as the winner of new business at the chamber’s gala awards.
After establishing a presence in Maitland Street almost 12 months ago, the business is on the move to larger premises still in the CBD to ensure it can cater for customers’ needs.
The business offers photo printing services, photograph enhancement and custom framing.
Proprietor Tracey Rex said setting up shop in the retail heart of town had made a big difference.
“We’re getting people come in off the street from all sorts of different areas,” she said.
The opening of the CBD premises has also seen the need to establish a team, with Tracey welcoming Ellen McClung and Danika Randall. The growth experienced in the past 12 months will see the team move to a larger site at 119 Maitland Street.
“The move will allow us to expand a little,” Tracey said.
“Our equipment is quite large and it requires more space.”
The move is also a homecoming of sorts for Tracey as she establishes her new premises next to the old Camera House site which was operated by her mother, Ros Hall. Customers coming into Tracey’s store often recall the old Camera House days.
Nostalgia is only too fitting in a photographic store where people are ordering prints, restoring precious memories and framing items so they are picture-perfect.
The existing services conducted by Your Photos Framed will continue at the new site, including wide format printing up to A1 and personalised items including coffee mugs and drink flasks.
Laser engraving will also become available.
“The relocation is certainly exciting. It’s onwards and upwards for us,” Tracey said.
“It will be exciting to have the extra space as well as what it means for the growth of the business.
