Last term some of the Narrabri High School Clontarf boys visited one of their partners Bunnings where they took part in their ‘Trade skills for teens’ program constructing a small outdoor dining set.
Empowering teenagers through practical skill-building, Trade Skills for Teens offered for those aged 13-18 is a remarkable initiative that fosters confidence, community engagement, and teamwork.
Participants work collaboratively to construct a flat-pack donation for a local not-for-profit community group. This hands-on experience not only equips them with valuable life skills but also instils a sense of accomplishment and community contribution.
The boys will continue working on a range of different projects and when competed will be donated to community groups around Narrabri.
