Beth Faris on youth exchange adventure in Germany

Narrabri High School student Beth Faris has embarked on a Rotary short-term youth exchange to Germany.

As part of the program, Beth has been paired with another student in Germany and in return someone will experience rural life in Narrabri.

Beth is looking forward to having a white Christmas as well as taking part in the Euro Tour.

As part of the tour, she will get to visit Christmas markets and castles in Germany as well as skiing in Austria.

Beth addressed the Rotary Club of Narrabri earlier this year and offered her thanks to the club for sponsoring her exchange application.

“I wanted to step completely out of my comfort zone and do something new,” Beth said.

“This is a great opportunity to experience different cultures.”

While on exchange, Beth hopes to make new friends while becoming an advocate for youth exchanges.

Narrabri High School has extended its best wishes to Beth and said: “Safe travels and enjoy this wonderful adventure!”
