Continental Eagle is a Narrabri based company, established in 1991 to supply local customers and clients across a wide swathe of the North West and Southern NSW, Victoria, Queensland and WA/NT.

Managing director John van der Vliet has led Continental Eagle from its earliest days and through its transition from a supplier of Continental Eagle cotton gin repair parts to include servicing the needs of all industrial and engineering supplies. John has to date more than 40 years’ experience in the Cotton Ginning Industry, firstly starting as a cotton ginner for nine years, running, repairing, building and commissioning cotton gins, then 30+ years in his current role at Continental Eagle developing the business, training staff and building long term relationships with customers to provide them with excellent service for whatever their requirements may be in repair parts, engineering information etc.

As Continental Eagle celebrates its successful business in Narrabri, it’s an opportunity to review the past and reaffirm its role as a supplier to the region. They have enjoyed 30+ years of growth, through seasonally driven good times and hard times, and are well placed for many more years.

Continental Eagle works closely with the cotton ginning industry, coal mining and gas, rail and road transport, engineering, farming, shire councils and the wider community within the large cotton growing region from Queensland and WA/NT in the north to Hay and Griffith area in southern NSW and out west to Bourke NSW selling cotton gin repair parts, a diverse range of industrial engineering supplies and all occupational health and safety requirements. Continental Eagle takes pride in its ability to source products for clients that other companies may not be able to.

Continental Eagle has also revamped its store and inventory, restocking the items they are known for and the parts that you can’t find anywhere else. They have also undertaken a reconfiguration of their staffing to consolidate its position in the market place and to take the company into the future. They have the team to take them forward, with more than 80+ years of experience in the cotton ginning and industrial and engineering retail supply industry.

The team at Continental Eagle comprises of sales, Matthew O’Connor (started in 1998), Dave Noble (started in 2018), in accounts Joanne Anderson (started in 2017 taking on the full time position in 2021), casuals, in logistics Chris Went, in embroidery Barbara Murphy (started 2008) with help from Gail Squire, in payroll Sheryl Skues (started 2003) and
Caleb Dawson as a Junior Sales/Store person.

Important to Continental Eagle are their loyal customers who have been there all the way through the good and the tough times, and Continental Eagle will be here for the long haul to service Narrabri and the greater outer region.
