A group of young voices for our community were ‘schooled’ on the three levels of government by NSC with a strong focus on local government.

“It never ceases to amaze me how responsible and bright Narrabri High School students are, their 10-year vision and aspirations for the Community Strategic Plan ‘Our Narrabri Shire 2035’ were incredible,” Narrabri Shire engagement officer Rachael Anderson, said.

“Their knowledge about the levels of governments was great and they were especially excited to learn more about what local government does with it being more personal, affecting where and how we live.

“Thank you, Narrabri High School, for allowing me to be a guest speaker at your wonderful school.”

Narrabri Shire Council was reviewing their Community Strategic Plan and are currently engaging with communities throughout the shire, and their first stop was Narrabri High School.

The Community Strategic Plan is the highest level of strategic planning undertaken by a local council and identifies the main priorities and aspirations of the communities throughout the shire.
