Twice a week every week the Narrabri Creative Crafters meet and share their talents.
Winter chills are still in the air and the generous ladies have been very busy making beanies.
On behalf of the group Betty Laird drove to Boggabri on a Wednesday morning to deliver forty-five beanies and a few neck scarves for the community members who use the Boggabri
Anglicare Pantry.
Rev. Nick Stone and his volunteers gratefully accepted the beautiful warm and colourful beanies and said that they were sure that the recipients would appreciate them in these cold conditions.
For many, receiving a beanie would be more than just getting a hat – it would be a reminder that the community cared about their well-being beyond the dinner table.
The warmth of a handmade gift brings comfort against the cold and brightens spirits during difficult times.
