Narrabri Garden Club members were out in force at Marinda Nursery in Wee Waa on Wednesday, August 13 for its monthly meeting.
Wee Waa Garden Club members were welcomed, led by the club’s president Francis Drysdale, for a morning of fellowship.
Glorious weather and fabulous surroundings made for a very pleasant morning – thank you to Linda and her team.
The bloom competition was won by Judy Haire, Lyn Vaughan and Judith Cameron. Congratulations, ladies.
Sue Guest was the winner of a voucher from Marinda Nursery.
The annual Spring Rose and Flower Show, run by the Narrabri Show Society Inc. and supported by the Garden Club is coming up in October at the Bowling Club.

It is shaping up to be a great season, so let’s see if we can top the huge number of roses and flowers entered last year.

A special ‘Welcome to Spring’ meeting has been organised for September, Saturday 13, commencing at 10am (see classifieds).
The club has been invited to the home of Di and Paul Foster at 5 Zimmerman Street for a chance to celebrate spring in a lovely local garden setting.
Members of the VIEW Club are joining us for the morning.
A special invitation to the members of the public are invited to come along and join us for morning tea.
The catering ladies, led by Lyn Tuckey, always provide a wide selection of delicious treats, all for the nominal cost of $5.
A highlight will be the drawing of VIEW Clubs’ monster hamper raffle, featuring artwork by Olwyn Campey, as well as other prizes.
Juanita’s Succulents will be on hand with a range of succulent plants and arrangements.
Members please note our general meeting will be held first, commencing at 10am.
Bring a chair, and mug and don’t forget your blooms – there are only a couple of meetings before this year’s winner is revealed.
