The Narrabri Presbyterian Church hosted its annual fundraiser campoven dinner, with about 60 attendees – the parish was very happy with the community’s response.
Narrabri Presbyterian Church’s Rev Sam Smith was pleased to see some familiar faces from their church, but happy to see some new faces as well.
“It is always wonderful when we see new faces and receiving support from around the shire,” Rev Smith said.
“We had a lot of people from different churches in the wider community come and join with us, which was great.
“This year, we were raising funds for Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), a global organisation whose mission is to provide air services in third-world countries where isolation is at its highest,” he said.
“From the fundraiser, we managed to raise over $1400 which is an incredible achievement.”
By partnering with over 1500 aid, development, and mission organisations, MAF are transforming lives, one flight at a time.
Every MAF flight brings healing to over 1000 isolated locations worldwide.
Through medical evaluations, MAF’s planes serve as flying ambulances, ensuring that critically ill or injured individuals receive urgent care they need for healing.
