Narrabri Little Athletics’ 2025 season wrapped up with the annual awards presentation at Narrabri High School last Wednesday, September 24.
This season has been one of the club’s most successful in recent years, with club president Nicki O’Neill advising that the number of little athletes who took part was almost 70, the most since the COVID-19 pandemic struck back in 2020 and double the numbers of last year.
“It was a really engaging season. We doubled our numbers from the last couple of years, and it was nice to see that increase,” O’Neill told The Courier.
“We had just over 70 this year, and last year we had just over 35.
“We had a lot of new members, and there was so much genuine improvement over the season.
“Some were not so sure about it back at the beginning, but we ended up having so many PBs and records being broken left, right and centre.
“We changed things up a bit with some guest coaches coming in. It was a really good season.
“The presentation was really good. Most of the kids were there, and we gave out close to 100 certificates.”
