The Spring Rose and Flower Show returned in full bloom, with a great variety of colourful entries on display at the Narrabri Bowling Club on Saturday.
Visiting judge Peter Rainger, of Manilla, who presided over the adjudication of the floral art entries, praised Narrabri for its consistent quality.
“The entries are just fantastic,” Mr Rainger said of both floral art and the cut flowers.
Mr Rainger was particularly impressed by the number of aged care home entries.
Philip Towns judged the cut flower entries.
The flower show, a much-loved community event, is staged as a collaboration between the Narrabri Show Society and Narrabri Garden Club.
Show society president Wendy McNair said this year’s display was a huge success.
“It’s a credit to the people of Narrabri and district,” Mrs McNair said.
Mrs McNair was pleased to see new entrants featured this year in addition to the regular participants. While a great success overall, Mrs McNair said more volunteer support was needed for future events.
