Narrabri Touch’s 2025 season two competitions are now nine rounds in following Monday night’s matches at Cooma Oval, and the ladder leaders in the men’s and the ladies’ divisions are on a roll and yet to be beaten following dominant victories.

The top-ranked team in the men’s competition is the defending champs, Grumley Builders, who are now nine from nine after defeating Ballbusters 10-4.

Grumley Builders have won two of their nine fixtures by forfeit so far, but they have beaten every team in the competition one way or another in a dominant clean sweep.

Their 62 tries scored leaves them just three tries behind third-placed Up The Middle, who have set the benchmark with 65 tries so far. However, it is in the defensive column where the Grumley Builders are dominating, having only conceded 18 tries so far this season. That is 16 fewer than second-placed side, Gee Bangers, who Grumley Builders are two wins clear of at the top.

The ladies’ competition leaders are Specialised Civil Services, who now have eight wins and a draw to their name following a 5-0 victory over the TJC Steelers in round nine.

That result was the league leaders’ fourth clean sheet victory of the 2025 season, and they have conceded a competition-best seven tries so far while piling on a competition-best 56 tries at the other end of the park.

Many’s Contractors are still nipping at their heels in second place after a 7-0 victory over the Golfie Gobblers on Monday.

That result kept Many’s Contractors just one win behind Specialised Civil Services. It was their third clean sheet victory of the season so far, and they have only conceded one more try than Specialised Civil Services and scored just five fewer tries.

A new third-placed side emerged in round nine as Hounddogs jumped from fifth following a dominant 12-2 victory over FAFs.

Golfie Gobblers and TJC Steelers were third and fourth, respectively, prior to Monday evening, but they both dropped one spot on the ladder after Hounddogs leapfrogged them both, while FAFs remained in last place.

There was a change even higher up the ladder in the men’s competition after the Gee Bangers stretched their winning streak to six games to move into second place. They defeated Cougars 9-4 to go above Up The Middle, who went down 8-7 against Lations to drop from the second spot to third.

Lations’ win saw the fourth-placed side finish the evening locked on 22 points with Up The Middle, but they remained fourth on for and against difference.

Gee Bangers are just one point clear of those two sides with 23 points, and Grumley Builders are two wins clear with 27.

The other round nine results saw Win Or Booze edge out DTA Timber Lumberjacks 4-3 and Reg Regans take down JWG Livewires 6-4.

Those results saw Win Or Booze jump into fifth spot on the ladder after switching places with the now-sixth-placed Cougars, while DTA Timber Lumberjacks, Ballbusters, Reg Reagans and JWG Livewires remained seventh to 10th, respectively.
