Boggabri branch of the United Hospital Auxiliary members visit the residents and acute care patients in the Boggabri MPS each Christmas and deliver a small gift.

The festive atmosphere was further enhanced this year by Lorraine Rockliff and her three granddaughters who were visiting their grandparents for Christmas.

Lorraine said the girls were excited and had been practising so that they could surprise the residents.

The three girls were dressed in red and wore novelty hats while singing Christmas carols.

Gabby and Chelsea Rockliff were from Dalby, in Queensland and Meg Seccombe from Narrabri.

Their enthusiasm and energy brought smiles to everyone as the sound of music echoed through the halls, creating a sense of community and joy throughout the Boggabri MPS.

Those residents unable to make it into the activity room were privileged to have a special performance in their rooms.

Health Service manager Amanda Boxsell expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gesture saying: “I love how everyone is embracing the Christmas spirit, and, how special it this when the young people come into the facility and sing for us, we certainly didn’t expect this today.”
