The unwavering commitment of the Wee Waa Hospital Auxiliary has been acknowledged by the Wee Waa Acting Health Services manager.
Before Julie Kirk finished up in the manager’s role at the end of last year, she met with Hospital Auxiliary members and expressed her appreciation for their dedication and the way they generously give their time to meet, fundraise, and provide essential equipment that directly supports local health services.
Like many local volunteer groups, she highlighted that their ongoing work and community spirit were ‘highly valued and deeply appreciated’.
The most recent acquisition thanks to the Wee Waa Hospital Auxiliary is a Doppler device, which is primarily used to hear and measure a foetal heartbeat when a patient presents for care.
This monitoring forms part of all routine observations during pregnancy.
