Boggabri Public School has welcomed Miss Lydia Harris to their 2026 staff.

Lydia says she is very excited to be joining Boggabri Public School after living and working in Weipa, Far North Queensland for the past four years.

Lydia is originally from Coonabarabran, where she completed her primary and high school education.

While working in Weipa Lydia worked as a teacher aide across all year levels from Prep to Year 6, including special education settings, which has been an extremely rewarding experience.

Recently she completed her Bachelor of Special and Inclusive Education and is thrilled to be joining Boggabri Public School community.

Lydia said, “I am passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to do their best”.

“I am looking forward to a wonderful year at Boggabri Public School, to getting to know and work with the parents and school community while celebrating the students’ individuals’ strengths and supporting them to grow both academically and personally.”

Lydia will be teaching the new Multi Categorical Class (MC class).

The MC class is a new support class which has been established to accommodate students with diverse needs.

The class is small and is staffed with specially trained teachers.
