NARRABRI Shire Council (NSC) has officially entered into a new five-year Central Northern Regional Library agreement, ensuring the community continues to benefit from being part of a strong regional library network.

The agreement, which came into effect last week, continues NSC’s partnership with Gwydir, Liverpool Plains, Tamworth, Uralla and Walcha councils, delivering a range of benefits for library members across the region.

The council said that by working together, libraries can provide access to larger physical and digital collections, regularly refreshed library stock, shared library technology and services, regional programs and events, shared expertise and professional support.

Last week, mayor Darrell Tiemens and general manager Eloise Chaplain joined Kay Delahunt, manager learning communities at Tamworth Regional Council, to formally seal the agreement.

“We’re proud to continue working alongside our regional partners to deliver high-quality library services for our community over the next five years,” the council said.
