Narrabri District Cricket Association’s 2021-22 season awards presentation event was held at Collins Park on Saturday evening after the two grand finals had been played.

A full list of the award winners is as follows:

Club championship – Narrabri RSL Cricket Club.

Junior cricketer of the year – Clay Hoffman (Western Razorbacks).

First grade under-21 player of the year – Bernard O’Connor (RSL).

District player of the year – Nathan Trindall (RSL).

Cricketer of the year – Sid Harvey (Tatts).

First grade awards:

Best and fairest – Jonty Schwager (Tatts).

Batting average and aggregate – Cooper Brayshaw (RSL) with 133 runs at 44.33.

Bowling average and aggregate – Jonty Schwager (Tatts) with 16 wickets at 5.50.

Most improved first grade player – Will Ford (RSL).

Premiers – RSL (102-run win against Tourist Hotel at Collins Park).

Grand final man-of-the-match – Cody Kember (RSL) who entered at number nine and scored a game-best 74* and then took the match-winning wicket in the second innings.

Second grade awards:

Best and fairest – Alistair Wheeler (RSL).

Batting aggregate – Nick Baird (RSL) with 200 runs.

Batting average – Craig Gleeson (Tatts) with 112 runs at 112.

Bowling aggregate – Justin Saunders (RSL) with 16 wickets.

Bowling average – Luke Baker (RSL) with 10 wickets at 7.20.

Most improved second grade player – Alistair Wheeler (RSL).

Premiers – RSL (30-run win against Tatts at Hogan Oval).

Grand final man-of-the-match – Jordan Doolan (RSL) who scored 45 runs in the first innings then took 1-11 off eight overs in the second.
