Narrabri Touch’s 2024 season two competitions will get underway at Hogan Oval and Leitch Oval on Monday night.
While season one earlier in the year was a mixed competition, season two sees the men’s and women’s sides split into two competitions. There are nine men’s teams in 2024 and eight women’s teams.
Teams will play against all of their opponents once across the regular season before they are split up into grades. There will be two grades for both the men and the women, with four in each grade for the women and five in one and four in the other for the men.
The grand finals will be contested on Sunday, December 1, at the Dangar Park rugby union field.
This season will see Narrabri Touch trial a new referee allocation system. The committee would allocate refs to games each week when the draw was released in previous seasons, but now there will be teams allocated to games for referee duties and it is up to those teams to provide a qualified referee for that game.
The draw for round one is as follows:
6pm:
Field one – FAFs v Touch n Go (ref duty – Twisted Blisters and Many’s Contractors); field two – Specialised Civil v Golfie Gobblers (ref duty – Hounddogs and CBRE); field three – Geebangers v Pelicans (ref duty – Win or Booze, Ballbusters); field four – Grumley Builders v JWG Livewires (ref duty – Lations and DTA Timbers Lumberjacks).
6.35pm:
Field one – Twisted Blisters v Many’s Contractors (ref duty – FAFs and Touch n Go); field two – CBRE v Hounddogs (ref duties – Specialised Civil and Golfie Gobblers); field three – Ballbusters v Win Or Booze (ref duties – Geebangers and The Pelicans); field four – Lations v DTA Timber Lumberjacks (ref duty – Grumley Builders and JWG Livewires).
