Bellata Golf Club hosted their annual men’s open on Sunday, which was an 18-hole individual stroke event that was contested by 50 golfers in quite cold conditions.

Professional golfer Matt Stieger was in attendance and he set the standard as expected, finishing the day as the gross winner with 70.

Gross winners:
A-grade – Matt Stieger with 70, B-grade – Bob Taylor with 89 (on a countback), C-grade – Graham Cameron with 95.

Gross runners-up:
A-grade – Angus Smith with 80, B-grade – David Nairn with 89 (on a countback), C-grade – Robert Guest with 96.

Nett winners:
A-grade – Andrew Stieger with 66, B-grade – Mark Bentley with 69, C-grade – Damien Maunder with 71.

Nett runners-up:
A-grade – Richard Miller with 72 (on a countback), B-grade – Mark Nairn with 75 (on a countback), C-grade – Nick Wyngarden with 77.

Long drives:
A-grade – Matt Stieger, B-grade – Peter Dewsbury, C-grade – Andrew Oxley.

There was also a $10,000 hole-in-one prize sponsored by Outlook Ag, which was not won.
