Nosh are reaching for the stars with their most recent announcement of having chef and restaurateur Gary Mehigan join Narrabri for a weekend of talent and taste.
Nosh president Angie Jones is thrilled for his arrival and the exposure it will bring to the wider Narrabri community.
“We are still trying to grow Nosh so this appearance will definitely keep people excited in Narrabri and hopefully capture the attention of people from all around,” said Angie.
Gary will be conducting cooking demonstrations, Q&As, and a lot like his work on MasterChef, commentating at Nosh’s well-loved barbecue cook off.
“There will be photo opportunities and the chance for people to sit down with Gary,” Angie said.
“He is excited to come and is planning to visit local towns and events.”
The announcement of Gary’s arrival was first introduced by himself. Posting it to social media, Gary shared his excitement and eagerness in visiting Narrabri. The news was then announced from Nosh at the start of this month.
Gary has been occupying television screens since 2007, spending 12 years as a co-host on the hit tv show MasterChef. Gary has also featured on shows such as Boys Weekend, Seven’s Plate of Origin and Good Chef Bad Chef. Throughout his career in food-based television, Gary’s TV audience has stretched around the globe. With his series Far Flung and Masters of Taste scoring him an international exposure.
Mehigan also has a podcast series titled “The Gary Mehigan Show” which shows an insight into his personal relationships with other celebrity chefs such as Nigella Lawson, Maggie Beer and more.
On Australian soil, Gary has his own brand of restaurants called Moga Moba and frozen meal range for Providoor.
Gary is currently living in Melbourne with his wife Mandy.
The Courier, a supporter and media partner of Nosh for many years, will update the community as plans for the 2025 festivities continue to progress.
