Darrel and Beverley Orman of Dangar Street, Narrabri, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 4, 2025.

Beverley was born in Narrabri and Darrel was born at Eulah Creek near Narrabri.

They were married at St Cyprian’s Anglican Church Narrabri, have three children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

They celebrated this momentous occasion with family and friends at a luncheon held at the Tourist Hotel, Narrabri on September 6.

In attendance at the party were the groomsmen Brian Orman, bridesmaid Brenda McFarland, and flower girl Debbie Carr (nee Orman).

Sadly, two of the bridal party Les McFarland and Nerida Huggins have passed away.

Visitors travelled from the north coast, Warwick (Queensland), and Newcastle to attend the event.

In addition to celebratory messages and gifts being received from family and friends, the couple received letters of congratulations from: His Majesty King Charles III; The Hon. Samantha Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia; The Hon. Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia; the Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of NSW in the Commonwealth of Australia; the Hon. Margaret Beazley AC KC, the Governor of NSW; the Hon. Grep Piper MP, Speaker of the NSW Legislative Assembly; the Hon. Jamie Chaffey MP, Member for Parkes NSW and the Hon. Roy Butler MP, Member for Barwon.

Due to the timing, Darrel was then able to celebrate Father’s Day with his visiting grandchildren.
