Radio station 2MaxFM held its annual general meeting on Wednesday, October 22, as they farewelled parting executives and committee from the previous year.
Lauren Grant said it was a bittersweet moment to farewell those who have been faithful with the station and welcome in the new executives and committee for the new year.
“We’d like to extend a special mention to Anthony Welchman who was our standing president for 13 years,” she said.
“With one of those years standing as vice president.
“We welcomed our new executives and committee for 2025/2026 year – president, Rebecca Taylor; vice-president Frank Crump; treasurer Gale Hewitt and secretary Julie Dowleans.
“Our new committee is as follows – Max Pringle OAM, Kay Gray, Sue Solomon, Chris Gleeson, Brenda Davies and Jeff Cloake.
“We also celebrated our newest life membership, Chris Gleeson, who has been an announcer at 2MaxFM for 25 years,” she said.
“Chris has two shows – Rockbox with Chris G from 6-8pm every Wednesday evening and The Juke Joint every Sunday evening from 5-8pm.
“His efforts do not go unnoticed, and we are so proud to have Chris as part of our team.”
Lauren said it was overall a successful AGM for the 2MaxFM team and excitement for what the future holds at the voice of the North West.
