Narrabri Touch held its final matches at Cooma Oval for the 2026 campaign season one mixed competition ahead of the switch to Hogan Oval and Leitch Oval after the Easter Long Weekend bye.

Round eight action was as entertaining as ever as the six matches produced 56 tries and plenty of highlights.

The top-ranked Pool A side Hammertime continued their undefeated start to the season as they won a first-versus fourth fixture against Tradies and Ladies 7-2 to make it seven in a row across the first eight rounds, with one of their matches being washed out.

Sprayerbarn Spinouts and Cougars entered the evening ranked second and third, respectively, and they played against one another in round eight. It was Cougars that got the job done 7-4 to climb above their opponents into second.

The other Pool A match saw bottom-ranked side Win Or Booze go in search of their first on-field victory of the campaign when they met the fifth-placed Priag Patriots, but it was the Patriots that prevailed 4-1 to leap Tradies and Ladies into fourth place.

The Pool A point scores after eight rounds are Hammertime (21), Cougars (15), Sprayerbarn Spinouts (15), Priag Patriots (12), Tradies and Ladies (12), Win Or Booze (9).

The Pool B undefeated ladder leaders Hounddogs also won again as they took down third-placed One Hit Wonders 9-4 to remain on top, after second-placed Pelicans prevailed to remain a point back as they downed the bottom-ranked RSL Guys and Gals 8-3.

The other round eight match saw fourth-placed side The Kerrigans and fifth-placed side JWG Livewires contest a one-point thriller as The Kerrigans edged out their opponents 4-3.

Richard’s Metaland Steelers had the bye and remained in sixth place as the entire B-grade standings remained unchanged.

The Pool B point scores after eight rounds are Hounddogs (17), Pelicans (16), One Hit Wonders (13), The Kerrigans (13), JWG Livewires (10), Richard’s Metaland Steelers (9), RSL Guys and Gals (6).
