It’s NAIDOC Week.

NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.

St Francis Xavier’s launched the school’s NAIDOC Week activities on Monday with ceremonies and a flag raising at the school assembly.

The school proudly flew the Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags from its recently installed three new flagpoles for the first time.
