The weekend’s Narrabri Show saw the last flower show staged in the George Foxe Horticulture pavilion.

The pavilion was built by the late Mr Foxe in 1932.

Mr Foxe was a builder, but the construction of the pavilion was also a labour of love – he was a keen horticulturist.

The pavilion has been the venue for decades of flower shows, and other Narrabri Show and Pony Camp uses, but it has reached its ‘end by’ date and will be demolished to be replaced by a new structure.

The last flower show has been held in the historic George Foxe Horticultural pavilion. Among the visitors admiring the displays on Saturday were the Snars family, Andrew, Madeleene, Christy, and front, Abi and Sophie.
