2MaxFM held its Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser for Cancer Council NSW on Sunday, May 8.

The event had a great turnout, according to station manager Cassie Boyd.

“The maximum capacity for the building on the day was 70 people, and we ended up with just under that many guests,” she said.

“It was a wonderful day with a lot of great support from the community and plenty of representation from the station.”

The crowd were entertained by Max Pringle OAM, who read poetry at the event.

Mrs Boyd said everyone in attendance had a great time, and together the station was able to raise $2145 through the event.

Not only did the fundraiser give locals a chance to share in great company and delicious treats, but it also gave them a peek into the renovations 2MaxFM has been undergoing.

“The visitors got to see inside the studio while the announcer was live on air, which is always exciting,” Mrs Boyd said.

“And they were all very impressed with the station upgrades, including the new flooring and the newly renovated studios.”
