Progress has been made at the future Newell Highway location of a Bunnings store in Narrabri.

Demountable buildings recently were transported to the site, at the corner of the Newell Highway and Saleyards Lane.

Bunting has also been placed on the perimeter fence.

The store’s development is to be overseen by the Pluim Group which has a proven track record in working on Bunnings site developments as well as other large-scale construction projects.

The hardware giant anticipates its Narrabri store will service customers across the North West.

Bunnings area manager John Newell has previously said the development represents a $15 million investment.

“It will span over 5000 square metres and feature a main retail area, outdoor nursery, timber and building materials area, as well as parking for over 80 cars,” Mr Newell said.

“It is estimated the store will create approximately 45 team member jobs and an additional 45 jobs during construction.

While the store will have prominent exposure with its frontage on the Newell Highway, access will predominantly take place from Saleyards Lane.

Access from Saleyards Lane will comprise of a left in only driveway for access to loading docks as well as a full movement driveway.

Caroline Way will be used as an access point to the loading dock with an egress driveway.
