After 18 years of hopes, dreams and planning of a new church hall, the construction has finally become a reality for Pastor Peau Afoa and members of the Seventh-Day Adventist congregation in Narrabri.

During the past 12 months, a modular construction team has been putting the final touches and installations to the building, complete with a large kitchen, disabled bathroom and entry ramp.

The main drivers behind the building project have been church members Pr Ted White and Russell Halliday, Pr Peau Afoa and
church members.

Pr Peau Afoa is delighted with the building and on Saturday, January 29, was proud to host an official opening luncheon enjoyed by church members from Narrabri, Wee Waa and Moree.

“I would like to thank Anna Booby from the Narrabri Shire Council, for her work in processing the approval to open the hall and also to Pr. Ted White for supervising and organising the project,” Peau Afoa said.

“We (the Narrabri SDA Church) are part of this community and there’s nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a difference in the lives of people in this great community.”
