A teenage boy is due to appear in a children’s court today charged with stealing and property offences allegedly committed in Wee Waa.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District commenced investigations into break and enter and stealing offences committed in the town last year.

Among the incidents was the alleged theft of a car from an address on Mitchell Street between 6.30pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, and 6am on Thursday, February 18, 2021. It was later found on Myalla Lane.

The window of a house on Warrior Street, Wee Waa, was allegedly smashed and an 81-year-old man assaulted about 10pm on Sunday, August 29, 2021.

Doors were allegedly damaged on a house on George Wilson Ave, Wee Waa, at about 9.15pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

A person allegedly tried to enter a house on Cormie Avenue, Wee Waa, at about 10.20pm on Friday, December 3, 2022.

Following inquiries, a 15-year-old boy was arrested at Wee Waa Police Station at about 12.30pm on Friday, March 25, 2022.

He was charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal, and two counts of break and enter dwelling-house with intent.

He appeared in a children’s court on Saturday where he was granted conditional bail to appear in another children’s court on Tuesday, March 29.
