Narrabri Golf Club hosted round two of the 2024 club championships on Saturday ahead of this weekend’s two final rounds.
Round three will be contested this Saturday and then round four will see the club championships wrap up on Sunday.
The A-grade men’s leader is still the defending champion Adam Taylor. He backed up his round one victory with another win on Saturday as he scored a five-over-par 76 for the second week in a row to end round two on 152.
That saw him extend his lead over the second-placed Karl Hatfield, who shot a 78 in round two after scoring 77 in round one. Hatfield enters Saturday’s play on 155, three shots behind Taylor and two ahead of third-placed Keith Flood (157).
The ladies’ division one leader is Louise Penberthy for the second straight week, but her advantage was cut to one after she shot a score of 98 and Leisa Eather won the day with a score of 97. That saw Penberthy finish the day on 189 following her 91 in round one, and Eather finish the day on 190 after she shot a 93 in round one.
Emily Flood also scored 98 in round two and is now on 195 following her 97 in the opening round, so a victory is still possible for her as she trails by just six shots.

Gross winner – Bill Lang with 87, gross runner-up – Nigel Guest with 92, nett winner – Scott Lamb with 69, nett runner-up – Mark Ward with 69.
Division one ladies:
Gross winner – Leisa Eather with 97, gross runners-up – Louise Penberthy and Emily Flood both with 98, nett winner – Emily Flood with 74, nett runner-up – Leisa Eather with 78.
Division two ladies:
Gross winner – Robin Ford with 103, gross runner-up – Yvonne Findley with 106, nett winner – Yvonne Findley with 79, nett runner-up – Kate Pitman with 80.
