Alfabs Hire has thanked the Narrabri district community for its generous support of the Alfabs grand opening and fundraiser for Brett Nolan.

Hundreds of visitors thronged the new Alfabs Hire premises on Saturday, March 27 to be part of the grand opening and to support the fund raising event for Narrabri’s Brett Nolan who was severely injured in a building accident in 2020.

Organisers were delighted with the community interest and response to the day, said spokesman, operations manager Nathan Adams.

Alfabs Hire has thrown its support behind the fundraising campaign for Brett.

“The day raised $5500 for Brett’s recovery program,” said Mr Adams.

Narrabri Rotary was a major supporter of the fundraiser.

Meanwhile Alfabs Hire has been continuing its development of the business at the Cooma Road site with the ongoing acquisition of new equipment to add to the hire inventory and the recruitment of additional staff.

“We have welcomed Cheryl Hedley to the Alfabs Hire team,” said Mr Adams.

“And Narrabri branch manager Darcy Devine is overseeing the rollout of brand new equipment including two Dingoes with four-in-one buckets, trenchers and augers, a six tonne Hyundai excavator with 3m 600mm auger, a rock breaker for a 1.7 tonne excavator and a ‘drivable’ electric towable cherry picker with telescopic boom.”

Alfabs Hire will undergo staged development of the Cooma Road site, Mr Adams told The Courier.

“Our Narrabri branch will support our existing clients and expand our offer to local businesses and industries.

“Alfabs shares the optimism of the district about growth prospects for the area and looks forward to playing a part in it through business support and community support.”
