LISA Pillar, Eva Sadler, Rebecca Taylor and Janice Fox are the Narrabri Bowling Club’s club four champions for 2025/2026.

They defeated Lorraine Scott, Debbie Gleeson, Ronnie Dewar and Marie Redman.

Pillar’s team led from the beginning winning the first four ends to lead 7-nil. By the 13th end they led 13-8 and went on to win the game 25-12 after 20 ends.

On Thursday 14 May, Steve Daskey defeated Keith Stoltenberg in the over 60 men’s singles. He led by 10 shots after 20 ends but Stoltenberg scored well over the next nine ends to even the score 21 all. Daskey went on to win the game 25-21 after 32 ends. He was due to play Tony Redman in the final after Redman received a forfeit from Terry Wilson.

Narrabri went down in their open gender pennant playoffs in Tamworth. They defeated North Tamworth in mid-May but later went down to South Tamworth. South Tamworth were the winners and will play in the state finals.

Thursday morning social bowls on 21 May was a trophy day.

The winners were Helen Woodward and Kay Carolan who defeated Doug Mackereth and Stuart Coleman 23-8, winning 13 ends for the score of 23.

In second place were Dee Fletcher and Keith Stoltenberg, who defeated Bruce Tomlinson and Lyn Tuckey 27-8.

They won 11 ends.

Dawn Armstrong and Bob Pownall defeated Gloria Campey and Tony Redman 21-16.

Trish Allison and Cecile defeated Yvonne Hardman and Di Chessells 19-8.
