Narrabri Rugby League Football Club will host two more home games during the 2021 Group 4 Rugby League regular season, the first of which is this Sunday when the Blues welcome the Kootingal Moonbi Roosters to town.

The two top-ranked sides will go head-to-head at Collins Park in a blockbuster top-of-the-table first grade clash.

The Roosters are currently ranked first following nine wins and a loss this season.

The Blues have won eight of their 10 games but are just one point adrift of top spot after one of their two losses this season was in golden point.

That means that should the Narrabri men get the job done in front of a home crowd on Sunday, they would go to the top of the Group 4 first grade ladder with just three rounds left to play.

Blues captain-coach Jake Rumsby told The Courier prior to the 2021 season kick-off and has maintained ever since that one of the club’s goals was to host a home major semi-final.

A win this weekend would go a long way in helping achieve that.

The club will also host reserve grade, under-18s and ladies’ league tag games on Sunday.

Narrabri’s reserve grade side won back-to-back games for the first time this season in rounds nine and 10 and will go in search of three in a row this weekend against the third-placed Roosters.

In under-18s, the fourth-placed Blues would jump to third and possibly second on the five-team ladder with a victory, while Narrabri’s ladies’ league tag team the Bluebirds will go in search of its third win of the campaign.
